Five Wishes will Help me Start the Conversation with my Father

My mother died of ovarian cancer several years ago. Although she had communicated her wish to die at home to my father and sister, she did not share this with me and I felt resentful. She did die at home, but without the benefit of hospice care and was in terrible pain.  My father is now 90 years old and lives alone. He is still able to live independently, but I can see that he is becoming frailer.  I want to make sure that our family knows what his wishes are when he reaches the end of his life, and I want to make sure he doesn’t suffer like my mother did.  The Five Wishes document will help me to start that conversation with him.
